A video of an alleged NYPD cop in a breakdancing showdown has gone viral online.

Titled "NYPD Cop accepts dance battle against street artist. Cop kills it!," the clip was first posted on Reddit and later made its way on Facebook, where it was shared for more than 40,000 times as of this posting. Check out the said video below:

But apparently the man wearing a police uniform and dancing in the viral video is not really a cop. A former "America's Got Talent" contestant named Josh Vinyard, a.k.a. BBoy Elusive, has claimed he is the one referred to as the "dancing NYPD cop" in the video and clarified that he is not a cop but a stunt man. He said the dance battle took place at a set of a movie.

"Hate to burst the reality bubble but... I am NOT a cop! I am a stunt man who was playing a cop on a movie set that day," he said.

Here's a video of Bboy Elusive's performance on "America's Got Talent."
