  6. yes, its the center of excellence and center of development that matters at hindi sa payamanan at mga pasosyal na estudyante! This is not BS kasi hindi lang to kuro-koro ng kung sinu-sino lang. :)

  11. Let me add , UP MANILA

    ReplyDelete
  12. Only the 9 are the best based on CHED's COE! Let us accept that! That is a resounding fact! It also shows that not all schools in manila are regarded as best because they only have names and not reputation!

  28. CMU BEYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH! Mura lang ang tuition namin dito. Ang most expensive ay ang Nursing, which is only 20k. The cheapest, let's say, 4K perhaps? Dagdagan mo pa ng college fees at ibang eklat, will only sum up to 5k. Vet. Med namin dito 6k lang! TAHAHAHA.

  29. CMU =)

    _dili lalim sa CMU_

  30. This ranking is inaccurate and incomplete. You also have to take into consideration the levels of accreditation (i.e. Levels I, II, III, or IV). Some of these Centers of Excellence here are only on Level 3, whilst some schools like Ateneo de Manila, DLSU and Silliman U have already attained Level IV. In fact, among all schools, Silliman has the highest number of Level IV accredited programs, a whopping 14 Level IVs yet it's not included in this listing.

  31. Wow! I'm proud of the my Alma Mater (MSUIIT). Quality education doesn't have to be very costly. From Mindanao yan ha. Di lahat ng best universities sa Manila/Luzon lang makikita.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sorry. But I dont believe on CHED'S system on granting COEs and CODs to schools. There' politics on it.

  47. I used to work with CHED and this ranking is very accurate. For those who commented about level 4, there is no level 4. After level 3 is COD and after COD is COE. Accreditation is not influenced by politics. I was a part of the Accreditation Committee. All I can say is that one must research carefully on things before accusing CHED.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Wrong. If you used to work with CHED, then you should know that the highest level is Level IV. And that there is such thing as Institutional Accreditation which is the highest certification that can be granted to an educational institution.

      Delete
  48. There are groups of accreditors who do the evaluation. Not the CHED alone. Dont be stupid to comment that there is politics on it. Who are you to say that?

  61. No bang basis nung international list? ni hindi ko nga sila naramdamang nag punta sa mga Universities na nandito eh. nag base sila in terms of published research works and by STUDENT-PROFESSOR RATIO. Is that even fair. research work mala papero population ratio??? Buti pa ung local Accreditation nakikita ung actual scenario sa Univ. tama na ang pataasan ng ihi. tignan nyo ung top 5 univs wa pakels kasi alam nilang asa top sila. so let us act na me pinag aralan din tayo at deserve natin na nasa list ang Univ. natin. at para sa mg bitter Do better make researches not for your Univ but for the country.

    ReplyDelete

  75. [Previous comment removed. Sorry, wrong comment.] KUDOS to all the schools here :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hindi dapat ito ang basehan ng "best schools" kasi di naman lahat under ng CHED (na tagabigay ng center of excellence sa mga schools). May colleges and universities na may autonomy kaya di under ng CHED.

    ReplyDelete
  77. The best university in the Philippines is the Far Eastern University!!!!!!!!!love it...mwuahh FEU

    ReplyDelete
  78. The THES-QS rankings are much more comprehensive than merely tallying the COEs/CODs of each university. This list is bad.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  80. @Shinichi_allen, may tama ka! @Anonymous November 11, 2012: You're wrong! I currently work as researcher in one of the top 200 universities in the QS ranking (and other int'l rankings); Shinichi is right, the intl rankings are merely prof:student ratio, number of research publications, and other not-so-essential parameters in the educational attainment of undergrad students. Here at the University, students are not so scholarly, they lack student curricular/extra-curricular activities, leadership/cultural showmanship abilities, and the like, undergrad students are happy-go-lucky (with a few exemptions of course), and undergrad thesis seems like experiments only. These universities are the so-called research universities; but for me, they are called research corporate universities. I suppose, there are much more universities in the PHL more at par than this University.

  81. How can Ateneo de Manila University to be considered as COE in business administration course? Does it has Accountancy? How many CPAs it has produces? Is Accountancy not part of business administration?

    ReplyDelete
  82. congratulations to all universities on the list
~>~>~> one happy cmu grad here...

  83. Why Philippine Christian University (PCU Manila) was not included in this list. I think PCU is one of the top universities among these. PCU is not included may be because of the administration problem. Though PCU faced administration problem, i think it is still one of the best universities in the Philippines.

  84. Proud to be a CLSU student. I am from CBAA and 3rd year BS Accounting Tech.. wooo! It's difficult to pass the subjects like hell. So yeah! We are the "UP" of Central Luzon!
