According to the PAGASA, Bagyong Egay was estimated at 110km Southwest of Laoag, Ilocos Norte (17.9°N, 119.6°E) at 1:00 a.m. Packing maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph, the tropical storm is forecast to move Northwest at 9kph.
Public Storm Warning Signal (PSWS) Number 2 was hoisted over Batanes, Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan group of Islands, Apayao, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and Abra on Sunday at 11pm. Pangasinan, Isabela, Benguet, La Union, Mt. Province and Ifugao were under PSWS Number 1.
