Manila City Vice Mayor Isko Moreno announced Friday that classes on Monday will be suspended since Iglesia Ni Cristo will be holding the "Kabayan ko Kapatid Ko Lingap sa Mamamayan" outreach program in various places in the city. The said health-care mission is expected to be attended by about 1.6 million delegates.
The public official said the Manila Police District recommended the suspension of classes to help preserve peace and order and to ensure public safety.
Work suspension in all private and public offices in Manila shall rest in the discretion of their responsible officers, he added.
