There will be no classes in elementary and high school levels in Cavite and in all levels in Laguna on Monday, September 23, 2013, officials announced Sunday night.

Suspension of Classes September 23 2013
In a Twitter post, the Cavite Gov. cited a report from state weather bureau PAGASA of possible flash floods in the province.

"Classes are suspended tomorrow, Sept. 23. Pag Asa reported possible flash floods. Elementary & High school Cavite province #walangpasok," Gov. Remula tweeted.

Meanwhile, Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito told the media that classes in all levels are as well suspended in his province on Monday.

According to PAGASA, Typhoon Odette is already outside the Philippines Area of Responsibility but it issued Yellow Rainfall Advisory over Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, Bataan and portions of Zambales, Pampanga, Batangas, and Laguna at 6:05 pm on Sunday. It said that moderate to occasionally heavy rains will affect the areas for three hours. It added that flooding is possible in low-lying areas.
