Elton John will be performing for the very first time at the Emmy Awards on Sunday night, September 22, 2013.

Elton John Emmy Awards 2013 Performance To Honor Liberace
The music icon's performance will pay tribute to the late pianist Liberace, whose life story is told in HBO’s "Behind the Candelabra." The Steven Soderbergh-helmed drama snagged 15 Emmy nominations this year, including lead-actor bids for Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.

According to reports, Sir Elton John will be singing his latest single, "Home Again," which is part of his upcoming studio album, "The Diving Board."

To be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, California. It will will be broadcast live on CBS at 8 ET/5 PT.
