It’s basketball all the way this July for Toonami, the ultimate superhero channel! Toonami is preparing an all-day showdown of strength and skills in a 3x3 basketball tournament where students from different schools in the metro will gather and compete for a day full of action and fun!

Rolling its way on court, the Toonami 3X3 Hoops Showdown is happening on Saturday, July 13, 11:00 a.m. onwards at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia. Students from 10 schools across the metro will be going head to head in four-member teams, competing across three age divisions.

"As the ultimate home of the superhero, Toonami is proud to give young basketball fans a chance to be heroes on the court, playing a sport that they love," said Ben Adams, Regional Marketing Manager, Turner International Asia Pacific.

Aside from the Hoops Showdown, Toonami will also be conducting a special basketball clinic at 9:30 a.m., as part of its advocacy to encourage more youth and adults to participate in active play and sports, for the students from the Sisters of Mary Boystown and Miriam College Southeast Asian Institute for the Dead (SAID). This special clinic will be supported and attended by today’s young basketball stars to share their knowledge and skills on the sport – Simon Atkins who played for De La Salle University Green Archers, and Nico Salva and Greg Slaughter from the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles.

Cheer on your favorite heroes at Toonami 3x3 Hoops Showdown at SM Mall of Asia, from 11 a.m. onwards. Exclusive Toonami prizes will be given out throughout the day to lucky fans. Cignal subscribers can also gain exclusive access to the VIP section & a free gift by presenting their monthly bill.
