In a viral promo video of the upcoming sequel of the hit animated movie, some recognizable words seem to have slip through the Minions' chirps and giggles. Filipino viewers say they heard the Tagalog phrases "narito na" (here it is) and the word "ikot" (turn around) as they make sense in the scene.
Since the first "Despicable Me," many have speculated about the language the Minions speak. But according to production notes, Minions' language is "more about sound than it is about any kind of meaning."
The creators of the movie, however, occasionally add English words into the characters' dialogue to help the viewers grasp what they say.
