NBA Game To Be Held In The Philippines On October 10, 2013

Good news, Noypi NBA fans!

For the first time in history, the Philippines will host a preseason exhibition game between two NBA teams this year.

A basketball duel between the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on October 10, 2013.

A number of NBA players had visited the Philippines in the past. In July last year, Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippen played an exhibition game against a selection of former PBA stars while NBA superstars Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose, and Kevin Durant headlined two exhibition matches versus the Smart Gilas team and a PBA selection at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

But the game between Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers will be the first ever preseason NBA game to be held in the country. The NBA action will feature Rockets stars Jeremy Lin and James Harden, among others.

Details of the game are yet to be officially announced in a news conference to be held at the SM MOA Arena on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
