Star Cinema's new romantic film, "The Mistress," grossed a whooping P23 million during its first day in theaters nationwide, according to Star Cinema.
The figure is just a hair behind the opening gross of the "highest grossing Filipino film of all time," "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin," which was P23.9 million.
"The Mistress" is the 10th anniversary film offering of the John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo onscreen tandem.
Directed by Olivia Lamasa, the movie also stars Ronaldo Valdez, Hilda Koronel, Anita Linda, Carmi Martin, among others.
The film tells the story of a worldly, adventurous man's (Cruz)
doomed relationship with a woman (Alonzo) who is already committed to an
older partner (Valdez).
*A typo error has been corrected. NoypiStuff inadvertently wrote P25 million instead of P23 million. The second paragraph supports that we meant the latter. Sorry for the mistake.
