$100 Million Apartment In New York Gets Listed On The Market

$100 million apartment for sale

A $100 million apartment in midtown Manhattan, New York was recently listed on the market.

The triplex penthouse is set atop the City Spire condominium in 150 W. 56th St. and offers over 11,000 interior and exterior square feet.

The $100 million apartment, which occupies the 73rd through the 75th floors, features six bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a wraparound terrace with 360-degree views of the city. It has an internal elevator and a wine room for 1,000 bottles.

The property is being sold by real estate developer Steven Klar and is listed with Prudential Douglas Elliman. The sale is being brokered by Raphael De Niro, son of the actor Robert De Niro.

The $100 million price tag is said to be the highest in New York, beating out the previous record of $90 million for another penthouse with views over Central Park.

Klar purchased the octagon-shaped apartment in 1993 for $4.5 million and then spent about as much to renovate it to his tastes.
