Samsung Galaxy SIII On Amazon
Samsung Galaxy SIII can now be pre-ordered on Amazon at $799.99.

The e-commerce site set the shipping date for its units on June 1, 2012. The units available are unlocked international versions of 16GB Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-i9300.

According to the product description, the units only support 2G GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and/or 3G UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 850/900/1900/2100 networks world wide. The model does not have 4G LTE connectivity, unlike those sold by carriers.

Samsung and U.S. wireless carriers have not announced yet their versions of the Galaxy S III.

The Galaxy SIII, Samsung Electronics' latest flagship smartphone, was unveiled at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in London earlier this month. It is expected to follow in the Galaxy S II's footprints and help Samsung retain its leadership position in the mobile and smartphone markets. The Galaxy S II was a huge success, ranking as one of the top selling phones of last year, often considered second to Apple's iPhone 4S in popularity and brand.
