Manchester United (MU) boss, Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that Nemanja Vidic will remain as club captain of MU for the rest of the season. The Serbian International, Nemanja Vidic was preferred over English defender, Rio Ferdinand even though the latter led the side in Tuesday's Champions League stalemate against Rangers at Old Trafford.
Ferguson defends, "Vidic started the campaign as captain and it will stay that way."
"What we wanted was someone who was consistently available for us.", he added.
