Temple Run 2 High Score Tips

Starting today, Temple Run 2 can now be downloaded on Android devices via Google Play. The game was made available for iOS units a week ago.

Temple Run 2 High Score Tips
For those who are about to start their adventure in this much-awaited sequel of the phenomenal Temple Run game, here are a few tips you can gauge yourself with in order to get a high score.

1. Collect as much coins so that you can upgrade the "Abilities." When you are still starting, don't expect to get a high score rightaway. Using your coins, you need to upgrade the "Abilities," which will increase the value of the coins. As in the first Temple Run, the more coins, the better score.

2. Complete the "Objectives." Compared to the original Temple Run, the sequel has more "Objectives" and you need to complete one before you can proceed to another. When you complete a set of "Objectives," you will level up and will be given a bonus, i.e. 3,000 coins for Level 4,  a "Coin Bonus" powerup for Level 5, 5,000 coins for Level 6 and 12 Gems for Level 7. The objectives in Level 8 will take sometime so you stop there. At the time you reach the level, most probably you have upgraded the "Abilities" and you are already getting good scores.

3. Use your "Gems" only when you have upgraded a number of "Abilities" already. "Gems" are not available in the first Temple Run game. In Temple Run 2, the "Gems" are used to resurrect your character as well as to boost your "Powerups." You get them as you play the game but they don't appear often so use them wisely.

4. Select the "Coin Bonus" powerup. This will give you 50 coins every time the power meter is filled. And when it is gem-powered it will yield 100 coins.

5. Don't use the "Head Start." This is quite expensive but it does not do much in increasing your score. The coins needed in using one are better spent on upgrades. Don't use your precious coins in upgrading "Head Start" in the "Abilities" section neither.

I will update this post when I can think of more tips.

After playing Temple Run 2 for about 4 days during my spare time, the highest score that I got so far is13.6 million after running almost 32,000 meters. My Temple Run 1 top score is 20.2 million.

It is quite hard to get 20M in Temple Run 2, especially that the "Gems" used in resurrecting your character are limited. Nevertheless, it is as fun and addicting as the first installment and the graphics are quite better.

Happy running, Noypis! FULL STORY...

Sharky The Beaver: Sphero's Augmented Reality App Released

Sharky The Beaver, a groundbreaking app for Sphero which features an augmented reality gameplay, has been released by Boulder Colorado-based Orbotix, the makers of Sphero.

Augmented reality (AR) refers to technology that overlays a live view of the real world with virtual content. And unlike traditional AR that is limited to the screen, Sphero AR has the ability to interact with the real world.

The app, Sharky The Beaver, overlays a virtual beaver on top of Sphero. As users drive Sphero with their iOS device, Sharky comes to life and runs around the environment looking for cupcakes. The user can also rotate their device into portrait mode to toss cupcakes at Sharky as he autonomously runs around.

“While the initial gameplay is fairly basic, we felt it was important to give people an experience that seemed magical. Most people have never used AR, so Sharky will be their first experience and we didn’t want to overwhelm their senses,” said Orbotix co-founder and chief software architect Adam Wilson. “Sharky is so simple that everyone can bring him to life and not get caught up in how it works. The technology disappears and requires no setup – people can just play and enjoy this crazy little cupcake-munching guy running around their house.”

Sharky the Beaver is initially available for iOS and Sphero owners can download the app directly from the iTunes App Store today. Orbotix also plans to release their augmented reality SDK for Sphero in January 2013 so developers can create their own AR games and apps.

Plants vs. Zombies Theme Song (Lyrics and Video)

The PopCap Game Plants vs. Zombies is really one fun game. It can even be addictive. It is simple and yet the gameplay is superb!

I have been hooked up with it recently, too. Haha, yeah. And what I like is that after I finished all the levels and stages I get to enjoy a very cute music video of the game's theme song "There's a Zombie on your Lawn".

Let's me share to you this Youtube clip and Lyrics of Plants vs. Zombies Theme Song. Enjoy! :D

"There's a Zombie on your Lawn" Lyrics

There’s a zombie on your lawn
There’s a zombie on your lawn
There’s a zombie on your lawn
We don’t want zombies on the lawn

I know your type: tall, dark, and dead
You want to bite all the petals off of my head
And then eat the brains of
the one who planted me here

I’m just a sunflower but see
me power an entire infantry
You like the taste of brains
we don’t like zombies

I used to play football
Road cones protect my head
I have a screen-door shield
We are the undead

Maybe it’s time to reevaluate
I know you have a lot of food on your plate
Brains are quite rich in cholesterol

You’re dead so it doesn’t matter,
Instead we’ll use this solar power
to make a lawn defense at any hour

I like the tricycle
There’s butter on my head
I’m gonna eat your brains
