A new Pokemon X & Y gameplay video is now out and it shows off fishing, surfing and a location fans haven't seen before.

The video, which was revealed over the weekend on "Pokemon Smash," starts with new Pokemon Fletchling battling Pokemon X & Y Starter Froakie before moving onto fishing at a never-before-seen beach location. The character then surfs to the shore of what seems to be one of the Kalos region's islands before taking on Inkay in the grass.

New gameplay features regarding interaction with other players had been unveiled earlier this month. They include the Player Search System, which allow users to search other players around the world; the Holo Caster, which is used to talk to in-game characters with Street Pass capability; the Battle Spot, which allows gamers to play against other players worldwide; an updated Global Trade Station that allows the player to request Pokemon he or she has not yet encountered; the new Wonder Trade system,  which allows receiving blind trades from anyone in the world; O Powers that can be used to affect one's own or another player's game abilities; Shout Outs to send messages to players; and Photo Spots to allow the player to take screenshots of his or her game to share on the Pokémon Global Link.

The Pokemon X & Y games will launch worldwide in October 12, 2013, making them the first Nintendo-published retail games to have such a global simultaneous release in all key regions, including South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and the first Pokemon games to be available in and outside Japan during the same period of time.

Also a first in the series, the entire game, including environments, character models, and battle sequences, are presented in fully polygonal 3D graphics. The Pokemon X & Y games are also first to allow movement in all directions, including diagonally; the ability to interact with pieces of the environment such as benches.
