Daniel Padilla has been chosen once again as one of the interpreters in the prestigious Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs songwriting competition.

The teen heartthrob will be performing the song "Simpleng Tulad Mo," which was composed by MJ Magno, in the Finals Night this September. We should expect Padilla's latest single on airwaves soon as it vie for the special awards. It is also now available for download at StarMusic, iTunes, Amazon and MyMusicStore.

Although the song that Padilla interpreted in last year's edition of the contest did not take home the top prize, it bagged all but one of the special awards. The entry "Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat," which turned into a hit, won the MOR Listener’s Choice, Tambayan 101.9 Listener’s Choice, Star Records CD Buyer’s Choice and MYX Choice for Best Video awards, while the TFC’s Choice award went to "This Song Is For You," which was interpreted by Erik Santos.
