Cahron "JayAre" Childs of the American hip hop group Cali Swag District, who popularized the hit "Teach Me How To Dougie," died Friday due to complications of sickle cell anemia. He was 25.

JayAre was admitted to the hospital on Thursday for unknown reasons. While in the hospital JayAre fell into cardiac arrest and died.

"Sickle cell took my brother away from me today...with that being said I'm proud to know that with that disease he made the best of his life," fellow CSD member DJ C-Smoove.

Released digitally on April 12, 2010, "Teach Me How to Dougie" was a commercial success, and peaked at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, peaked at number 9 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and peaked at number 6 on the Hot Rap Songs. It was certified platinum in the United States. Check out its music video below:
