1. "Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2" - starring Dingdong Dantes and Lovi Poe, to be directed by Eric Matti, under Reality Entertainment, GMA Films and Agostodos Pictures
2. "Bonifacio: Gusto Mo Ba Siyang Makilala?" - starring Robin Padilla and Iza Calzado, to be directed by Lawrence Williams, under Philippians Productions
3. "Magnum Muslim 357" - starring ER Ejercito and Denise Laurel, to be directed by Jun Posadas, under Scenema Concept.
4. "Praybeyt Benjamin 2" - starring Vice Ganda and Richard Yap, to be directed by Wenn Deramas, under ABS CBN Productions and VIVA Productions
5. "Feng Shui 2" - starring Kris Aquino and Coco Martin, to be directed by Chito Rono, under ABS CBN Productions and VIVA Productions
6. "My Big Bossing's Adventures" - starring Ryzza Mae Dizon and Vic Sotto, to be directed by Joyce Bernal, Marlon Rivera, and Tony Reyes, under Octoarts, MZET, and APT Entertainment
7. "Shake, Rattle & Roll 15" - starring Dennis Trillo and Carla Abellanam to be directed by Jerrold Tarot, under Regal Films
8. "English Only Please" - starring Angeline Quinto and Derek Ramsay, to be directed by Dan Villegas, under Quantum Films.
The 5 that did not make it this year are "Bonggangster" (starring BB Gandanghari), "Kid Kulafu" (starring Cesar Montano and Alessandra De Rossi), "Above the Clouds" (starring Ruru Madrid and Pepe Smith), "Wh1stleblower" (starring Nora Aunor, Cherry Pie Picache, and Angelica Panganiban), and "Kung ang Hanap Mo ay Ligaya sa Buhay" (starring Boots Anson Roa and Snooky Serna).
Held annually during Christmas, the MMFF aims to promote and enhance the preservation of the Philippine Cinema, with proceeds going to a number of beneficiaries in the film industry.
In 2013, the festival raised a record-breaking income of almost one billion pesos, the most successful and highest-earning edition in its 39 years of history.
