The movie adaptation of the bestselling pop fiction book “She’s Dating the Gangster” is currently in the works.

It was earlier revealed that primetime royalties Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo will lead the cast. The loveteam was personally handpicked by the author Bianca Bernardino to portray the main roles - Padilla as Kenji delos Reyes and Bernardo as Athena Dizon.

This week, rumors spread in social media that the cast will also comprise of the following:

Athena Abbigail - Liza Soberano
Lucas - Enrique Gil
Sarah - Myles Ocampo
Jigs - Nash Afuas
Kirby - CJ Novato
Grace - Julia MOntes
Nathan - Sam Concepcion
Kendi - Megan Young

However, Star Cinema, the producer of the highly-anticipicated film, has not released an official announcement to confirm or deny the rumors.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, "She's Dating The Gangster" is set to be released this year.
