The mall operation was back to normal two hours later after the incident was contained, it added.
In an interview with GMA News TV, Senior Superintendent Florencio Ortilla, Pasay City Police chief, said five men robbed the store. He added that the thieves exchanged fire with the policemen in the area. One of the suspects was arrested inside a restaurant, while the rest got away.
According to reports, a male mall employee got wounded from a gunshot. He was brought to a hospital for treatment.
Other details about the incident are currently being investigated.
