The cast members of the movie adaptation of the hit Wattpad novel, "Diary Ng Pangit," have been revealed.

Viva Entertainment announced Friday that Nadine Lustre, James Reid, Yassi Pressman and Andre Paras will be playing the lead roles in the upcoming film.

Lustre's character will be Reah "Eya" Rodriguez, the protagonist who describes herself as an "pangit" and who works as a personal maid, while Reid will play the role of Cross Sandford, a teen model to whom Eya works for.

Pressman will be Lorraine "Lory" Keet, a rich girl who has a crush on Cross. The character of Paras will be Chad Jimenez, Eya's close friend who crushes on Lory.

"Diary Ng Pangit" was first published on the popular online writing community Wattpad where it was read for over 12 million times. It was later turned into a 4-part book series with each installment topping the local book charts for weeks.

"The book series is the diary of girl named Eya who believes that she is ugly. She tells her story as she attends Willford Academy and how she seems to be a magnet of rich and good-looking boys. They say it's a Cinderella story with a twist of hilarity that many can relate to," Viva said.
