Suspension of classes on Thursday, November 7, 2013, has been announced by some local government units in Visayas due to the anticipated bad weather to be brought about by Typhoon Yolanda.

ALBAY: "Albay Governor Joey Salceda declares suspension of classes in all levels in Albay starting tomorrow."
BOHOL: "Bohol suspends classes in all levels (public & private) for Thursday, Nov. 7 and Friday, Nov. 8 #walangpasok "
CATBALOGAN CITY: "Classes in all levels are suspended until November 8."
CEBU PROVINCE: "#walangpasok sa Cebu ngayong Huwebes at Biyernes sa lahat ng antas - Gov. Davide"
DUMAGUETE CITY: "Classes in all levels are suspended until November 8."
LEYTE: "Classes in ALL LEVELS (public & private) are suspended tomorrow, Nov. 7, 2013."
ROMBLON: "Afternoon classes in ALL LEVELS (public & private) are suspended tomorrow Nov. 7, 2013."
SORSOGON CITY: "Classes in all levels are suspended until November 8."
SURIGAO DEL NORTE: "Classes in all levels and office work are suspended until November 8."

According to the PAGASA, the eye of Typhoon Yolanda was located at 1,411 km East of Mindanao. Forecast to move West Northwest at 30 kph, the cyclone is packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kph and gustiness of up to 185 kph. The weather disturbance is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow early morning (Nov. 7). It is expected to make landfall over Samar-Leyte provinces by Friday (Between 11am-1pm, Nov. 8) and to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Sunday early morning (Nov. 10).
