Although her answer during the Q&A portion was the most-applauded, Arida failed to take home the crown, which went to Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler.

"What can be done about the lack of jobs for young people starting their careers around the world?" judge Tara Lipinski asked.

The 24-year-old Laguna beauty answered, "I do believe we should invest in education... and that is my primary advocacy. Education is a primary source and a ticket for better future."

Meanwhile, Isler's winning answer to judge Steven Tyler's question "What is your biggest fear and how do you plan to overcome it?" is "I believe we should overcome all of our fears and this in turn would make us much stronger and mostly we can become stronger persons. As soon as we overcome our fears and we are sure of ourselves then we can face any challenge."

This is the fourth consecutive year that a representative from the Philippines made it to the Top 5 of the prestigious beauty pageant. The country has produced two title holders in the history of Miss Universe.
