Miss Philippines Earth 2013 Winner Crowned (Results)

The Miss Philippines Earth 2013 winner has been crowned during the pageant's finals night held Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Twenty-five-year-old marketing head Angelee Claudett delos Reyes from Olongapo City took home the most coveted crown, besting other 46 lovely ladies from across the Philippines. She also won the "Best In Swimsuit" and "Darling of the Press" awards.

Succeeding last year's winner Stephany Dianne Stefanowitz, delos Reyes will be representing the country in this year's "Miss Earth" pageant.

Delos Reyes has a string of beauty contest accolades to her name including Miss Columban College 2004, Bb. Zambales 2007, Bb. Olongapo 2008, and Slimmer's World Miss Bikini Philippines 2011. She also competed in the 2009 Miss Earth Philippines, where she bagged the "Best In Talent" award.

Miss Russia haters want to dethrone Kazakhstan-born beauty

The recently concluded 2013 Miss Russia beauty pageant has raised a lot of eyebrows and has enraged some critics as the stunning contestant number 13, Elmira Abdrazakova, gracefully made her way successfully to the top and won the crown.

The 18-year old brunette beauty queen was alleged of being "not Russian enough" to deserve the title and is now placed at the center of online dreadful racism campaign.

Elmira came from one of the country’s ethnic minorities and was herself born in Kazakhstan.

With all the hate mails and vile online attacks towards her, her family and the ethnic minority she belongs to, the beauty queen was forced to deactivate her social networking accounts.
But coming to her senses, she stood up and talking to Sky News said: "The nationality question, I don't really understand it. I don't understand why men would write to a young girl offensive things about her nationality.

"It humiliates first of all not me, but those people who write it. It was bizarre for me when men were writing things like that to me, I was surprised we have people of that sort here," she said.

The racial abuse she received from her critics failed to bring her down completely. She just hoped that her story and success would motivate others who are born and are still living in poverty.

"Maybe some girls will look at me and get inspired by my experience to grow, to develop, to work hard. I hope they can see that in life you can reach something without big money,” she said.
The alleged “real beauty among sheep” will be working hard and prove her worth as she will still be representing Russia for the Miss World beauty pageant. FULL STORY...

The Binibining Pilipinas 2013 winners will be crowned on April 14 in a glittering production of the pageant's grand coronation night to be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

To celebrate its golden anniversary, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. selected fifty official candidates this year to vie for the three most sough-after crowns - the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2013, the Binibining Pilipinas-International 2013, and the Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism 2013. The new winners of the titles will represent the Philippines in three prestigious international beauty competition this year.

The coronation night is expected to be graced by former beauty queens including former Miss Universe queens Gloria Diaz and Margie Moran, and former Miss International winners Precious Lara Quigaman, Aurora Pijuan and Melanie Marquez.

The event will be telecast on ABS-CBN on Sunday night.

Janine Tugonon Bags 1st Runner-up In Miss Universe 2012

Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon finished first runner-up in this year's Miss Universe beauty pageant, which saw 89 delegates from all over the world and held Wednesday night in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The Pinay beauty captivated the judges during the earlier rounds with her poise and glamour, easily making it to the Top 16, then to the Top 10 and finally to the Top 5.

In the make-or-break question and answer round, Tugonon made her supporters go wild with her impressive answer.

Judge Nigel Barker of "America's Next Top Model" asked, "As an international ambassador, do you believe speaking English is a prerequisite to be Miss Universe? Why or why not?"

Tugonon's response was, "For me, being Miss Universe is not just about knowing how to speak a specific language. It is being to influence and inspire other people. So whatever language you have, as long as your heart wants to serve and you have a strong mind to show to people then you can be Miss Universe."

The 23-year-old Bataan native did not bag the coveted crown but made a lot of Pinoys proud.

The Miss Universe 2012 title was won by Miss USA Olivia Culpo. Rounding the Top 5 were Irene Sofia Esser Quintero of Venezuela, Renae Ayris of Australia and Gabriela Markus of Brazil. FULL STORY...

The Miss Earth 2012 winner has been named during the pageant's coronation night held at the Versailles Palace in Muntinlupa City, Philippines on Saturday, November 24.

Miss Earth 2012 Winner Tereza Fajksová

The coveted title went to 23-year-old Czech beauty Tereza Fajksová, the first representative from Czech Republic to bag the crown and the first European to be crowned in 10 years. Fajksová bested 79 other lovely candidates from all over the world.

As the Miss Earth winner, Fajksova will become the new spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations. She is expected to dedicate her year to promote specific projects that address issues concerning the environment and other global issues.

June Macasaet Wins Manhunt International 2012

Mr. Philippines June Macasaet was named winner of the Manhunt International 2012 beauty pageant held in Bangkok Thailand on Friday, November 9th.

Macasaet, 29, bested 54 other contestants from all over the world, succeeding last year's winner Chen Jian Feng of China.

It marks the very first time that a representative from the Philippines won the male beauty contest, which has been around since 1993.

Standing 6'1'', the tall Batangueño hunk also received the "New Male Urban Ambassador" award.

Kevin Balot Wins Transgender Beauty Pageant In Thailand

Filipino Kevin Balot was crowned as this year's winner of the Miss International Queen, an annual beauty pageant for transvestites and transgender males held in Pattaya City, Thailand.

Balot beat out 21 contestants from 15 countries during the pageant night held last Friday, winning a total of $10,000 in prize money and an apartment for a year in Pattaya. She also received the Miss Photogenic award.

Brazilian Jessika Simoes took the second place while Thai Panvilas Mongkol finished third.

Two Pinoy candidates also made it to the Top 10, namely Michelle Montecarlo and Miriam Jimenez.

The contestants were chosen from more than 100 entries from nearly 30 countries. Four transvestites represented the Philippines this year.

Miss World 2012 Winner To Be Crowned Tonight (Results)

Miss World 2012 Winner

The coronation night of the 2012 Miss World will be held tonight, August 18, 2012, at the Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. Miss World 2011 winner Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event.

There are 116 candidates vying for the coveted title this year, marking the biggest turnout in the pageant's history.

For nearly a month now, the contestants have been rehearsing for the big night and competing in several challenge events.

The first Miss World winner was Kiki Hakansson of Sweden, while Hollywood actress Halle Berry was a finalist in 1986 and Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai took the crown in 1994.

Venezuela has produced the most number of Miss World title holders, 6, while India and Great Britain claim five titles each.

The 25 lovely candidates of the 2012 Miss World Philippines hit the runways last Tuesday, June 19 in Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati.

The event was a fast track competition where the "Best in Fashion Runway" award was given out. The award guarantees a candidate of a spot in the semi-finals. It eventually went to Candidate No. 16 Brenna Cassandra Gamboa of Laurel, Batangas.

Miss World 2011 winner is Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos

Miss World 2011 winner Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela

Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos was crowned the winner of the Miss World 2011 pageant during a glittering final ceremony held at Earls Court Two in London, England on November 6, 2011.

“I believe that the next Miss World should be a woman of responsibility and reason," Sarcos said during the competition.

“I believe the woman should be committed to the organization and help people in need. Beauty with a heart," she added.

Twenty-two-year-old Sarcos is a Human Resources graduate who currently works for a broadcasting company. Coming from a big family with 12 siblings, Sarcos plans to promote and work with children in the future. She loves volleyball, mountaineering and trekking. She believes that "everything arrives when it should."

The 5'10'' beauty was raised by the nuns in a convent in Cojedes after orphaned by her parents at age 8.She had studied to become a nun before but did not pursue it.

There were 113 candidates from all over the world who joined this year's competition. The second place went to Miss Philippines Gwendoline Ruais while Amanda Vilanova of Puerto Rico came third.

Miss World 2011 Winners and Results

Miss World 2011 Coronation Night was successfully held Sunday at Earls Court Two in London, England.

Miss World 2011 winner Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela

Out of the 113 candidates this year, it was Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos who won the most coveted title. She was crowned by last year's winner Alexandria Mills of the United States.

Miss Philippines Gwendoline Ruais was named runner-up while Rico Amanda Vilanova of Puerto Rico came third.

Miss World 2011 winner is Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela

Miss World 2011 has crowned its winner during a glittering final ceremony held at Earls Court Two in London, England on November 6, 2011. The crown went to Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos who bested the other 112 lovely candidates of this year's pageant.

“I believe that the next Miss World should be a woman of responsibility and reason," Sarcos said during the competition.

“I believe the woman should be committed to the organization and help people in need. Beauty with a heart," she added.

Twenty-two-year-old Sarcos is a Human Resources graduate who currently works for a broadcasting company. Coming from a big family with 12 siblings, Sarcos plans to promote and work with children in the future. She loves volleyball, mountaineering and trekking. She believes that "everything arrives when it should."

Meanwhile, Miss Philippines Gwendoline Ruais was named this year's Miss World runner-up while Amanda Vilanova of Puerto Rico placed third.

Alyssa Campanella, Miss California crowned Miss USA 2011

Miss California Alyssa Campanella became the 59th Miss USA after winning the crown during the pageant's coronation night held at the Theatre for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 19, 2011. Campanella will be representing her country at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.

Twenty-one-year old Alyssa Campanella is the 6th Miss California to be crowned Miss USA. She is said to be the third redhead beauty to win the crown.

Campanella competed in Miss Teen USA 2007 where she placed 1st runner-up. In the Miss USA history, she is the highest ranked state delegate at Miss Teen USA to win the Miss USA title outright (The first Miss Teen USA to win the Miss USA title was Brandi Sherwood but she only inherited the title, not won it outright).
