The rumor claims that 58-year-old English actor, who is popularly known for his role as Mr. Bean, "died while trying to save a young actress on a scene gone wrong for the movie Johnny English Part 3."

The viral Facebook post that contains the story is attached to a supposed video from BBC News that allegedly shows how the comedian "saved the actress from sure death and how they tried to save the life of Rowan Atkinson while he was burning to death."

Facebook users later found out there is no such video and that it is just a link to an app that automatically posts the phony story to their timelines once allowed, thus it became viral.

Again, the rumor is completely false. Rowan Atkinson is alive and well. He is just the latest victim of death hoaxes in the internet, putting him in the company of celebrities like Justin Bieber, Jackie Chan, Jon Bon Jovi, Eminem and many more.
