Jhong Hilario showed off his acrobatics skills during a recent basketball charity game, sparking buzz online.

Living up to his name as “Sample King” in the noontime that he cohosts, 37-year-old actor-dancer made a never-before-seen stunt in his free throw. Before successfully shooting the ball into the basket, Hilario did an unexpected backflip, leaving hundreds of people who watched the game and thousands more online stunned in amazement.

A video of Hilario’s backflip free throw was posted to Youtube last week and has since attracted over half a million views as of press time. It was also picked up by international sports websites such as Yahoo! Sports, Bleacher Reports, NBC Sports, among others.

Hilario was originally a member of a dance group, “Streetboys” in the Philippines before he pursued acting and hosting. His group was known to showcase not only superb pure dancing but also acrobatics which must have been where he mastered the backflip he did during the game. He is currently seen on the ABS-CBN noontime variety program "It's Showtime."
