Julia Montes earned her fans' respect after photos of her riding on a jeepney following a trip to the market and washing dishes at home made their way online.

A number of her fans took to micro-blogging site Twitter to tweet out their admiration to their idol, allowing "We Salute You Julia Montes" to trend worldwide on Wednesday.

Montes rose to popularity when she starred as the angst-filled teen Clara in the 2010 remake of the hit '90s series, "Mara Clara." The show is currently being aired on Vietnam.

She also took part in a string of successful projects including the teen-oriented series "Growing Up" (2011), the 2012 series "Walang Hanggan," and the 2013 romantic-comedy film "A Moment In Time."

Because of her thriving career Montes was able to put up a new beauty salon and to buy a new house last year.
