Ang bottom line is that walang nasara na eskwela. And as a result, nag-resign po si Chairman Fr. Rolando Dela Rosa, nag-resign ang buong technical committee on nursing education. Now how, Cong. Villar, can you reconcile itong parang seeming disconnect between 'yung desire ninyo to help the poor at tsaka 'yung pagpanig niyo sa mga owners ng mga educational institutions na gustong isara ng technical nursing committee at tsaka 'yung CHED?"

Cynthia Villar: "Maraming salamat, Mareng Winnie. I want to explain that situation to you. And then, sinasabi nila na kaya daw nila gustong ipasara dahil walang tertiary hospital, kasi sa mga nursing school to, na where they can train. Ang sinasabi namin noon, hindi naman po kami kumokontra sa CHED, ang sinasabi namin, kasi tinignan namin 'yung syllabus, yung mga courses na kunin nila, and then nakita namin na after lang sa third year kailangan nila yung tertiary hospital so ni-request namin na hindi nalang ipasara yung pre-nursing, 'yung first two years..."

Winnie Monsod: "Follow-up question nalang po ano, ha? In other words, if it's only a matter of investment, bakit po hindi sila ma-employ employ? At bakit po nag-resign ang technichal nursing education committee, at tsaka nag-resign after only 7 months in office? Do you think they just did not understand?"

Cynthia Villar: "No, yung pag-reresign po ni [Fr. Rolando V De la Rosa] is a personal quarrel with the owner of a school.

  3. Your ignorance idea about education in nursing is completely unacceptable. You should be ashamed of your self on how you described nurses as low profile.to become a nurse here in abroad you need to be educated with high professional qualification. We're very upset That nurses was been degraded by one of our Filipino countryman in the person of Cynthia villar . Your Uneducated words about nurses touches the heart of every medical profession .goodluck on election hope people of the phils realise who are they voting for,are they highly educated with excellent qualification? No

  4. kaka-disappoint ah. How can they help the poor gayong sila mismo ang nangmamaliit sa mga nagsisikap nating kababayan. They're just after the power and the privilege that came with being a politician.

  10. Excuse me Mrs. Cynthia Villar. Did you know what are you saying? My father is a caregiver in States and i'm proud of that. My father told me that most nurses in the hospital in States are filipinos especially the head nurse. Sa daming nurses here in pinas pati families and relatives GOODLUCK nalang kung IBOTO ka namin!

  13. Miss Cynthia Villar, let you know nurses here in the States are well respected. I finished my masters and doing my doctoral in nursing in one of the respected university here. Proud to tell you I got my BSN from Philippines. What you have just said just showed how dumb and ignorant you are. I feel so sad sa mga kababayan ko if they have this kind of idiots running the Senate.

  17. She said na na-"time-pressured" lang sya that's why she said those things.. but to think about it, it was a fairly easy question to answer compared to the many more controversial questions that she may encounter IF ever she's elected as a senator.. A good senator should think on her toes at all times and should be ready and alert to give out APPROPRIATE responses to questions thrown at her...yung mga tipong TACTFUL at CRITICAL mag isip ang mga dapat nating iboto.. because we don't need anymore of those mga puro "pasikat" lang na officials, we should get yung mga may BRAINS to actually represent our country. Imagine if this woman gets elected, and if by whatever reason she gets asked by some foreign dignitary some out-of-the blue questions about us FILIPINOS, and she happens to give out mga "TACTLESS" responses, these could actually compromise our dignity and how we are viewed by the rest of the world. WE NEED SMART LEADERS. Those who can actually level off with other international dignitaries and not just someone na mismong tayong mga kababayan nya eh minamaliit nya. No matter how much her ads keep repeating kung gaano sya KABAIT or mapag-unawa sa mga "pangangailangan ng mga kababayan" nya, but kung sa simpleng tanong lamang na ganun eh bistadong mapanghusga pala sya, it is just as clear as DAY LIGHT na she does not have the makings of a good politician, let alone be one that would potentially REPRESENT the filipino people.DI naman kasi porket MAYAMAN ka eh dapat tumakbo ka ng posisyong para ma-maintain ang yaman mo. I think her response is quite very obvious na as a business tycoon herself, she is "pro" sa mga business people.. and di man lang nya naisip na to sum up yung mga nagastos ng mga nursing students sa studies nila for 4 years ay even more than how much those owners ng school invested. HAIST!! kung manalo pa yan, EWAN KO NALANG TALAGA..it's like having our own version of a HILLARY CLINTON sa senate.. kaya nga lang at least si HILLARY may TACT. eh xa? simpleng question lang na "time-pressured pa?" pwe! ang liit lang ng challenge na yan compared sa kung anong mahaharap saiyo sa senado...kaya if you have any dignity left to proceed with your campaign, atleast ADMIT that you made a mistake and STOP MAKING EXCUSES!

    1. What's with comparison with Hillary. She's a brilliant lawyer, a dignified Secretary of State and an accomplished politician. Villar doesn't come close at all.

  18. To Mrs. Villar your 'sorry' is not enough after degrading us Nurses. Ur brainless talaga! Filipino nurses all over the world are Heroes.

Kung pagiging room nurse man ang start nmen sa ibang bansa wla namang kaso dun ah,..next time na lalabas ka for interview mrs.villar be extra careful in picking words that your going to say. .and remember NURSING is a vocation. .It is not a simple course para sabihin mong hindi namen kailangang magtapos ng BSN..

  21. may time limit man or wala.. i think that question can be answered in way na hindi makakhurt nang ibang tao..its simply shows that you are not competent in the senate..konting time pressure lang, nagkamali ka ng bongang-bonga..you should have chosen your words more carefully despite the time pressure..Mabuti nlng at makakaboto na ako..im so excited NOT to vote you..
