Katherine Webb To Cover Super Bowl For 'Inside Edition'

Katherine Webb, 2012 Miss Alabama USA and girlfriend of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, will be back in front of the cameras as "Inside Edition" correspondent for the Super Bowl.

"So excited to be chosen to cover the Super Bowl XLVII for @InsideEdition in New Orleans!," Webb tweeted Wednesday.

According to the Associated Press, Webb calls the temporary job "an honor and a dream come true," saying she will "give fans an insider's look at what goes on as the teams prepare to battle and as the fans get ready to cheer on their favorites."

Webb will start her work in the show on January 28th, AP added.

Although syndicated by CBS Television Distribution, "Inside Edition" is not part of CBS' coverage of the Super Bowl, which Webb won't be involved with.

The 23-year-old Auburn grad shot to fame when the camera focused on her during ESPN's broadcast of the 2013 BCS National Championship Game last week, sparking fawning comments from veteran sportscaster Brent Musburger.
