Skyfall, which so far made $1.0002 billion globally, is the third film to join the billion dollar club this year after "The Avengers" and "The Dark Knight Rises." Also included in the elite group of films are the highest grossing movie of all time, "Avatar" and the box office hits "Titanic," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," "The Dark Knight Rises," "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," "Toy Story 3," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace," and "Alice in Wonderland (2010)."
In addition to surpassing the $1 billion mark, "Skyfall," which features Daniel Craig's third performance as James Bond, is also the first film ever to gross £100 million ($160.9 million) at the U.K. box office. It is therefore the highest-grossing film in the UK, snatching the crown from "Avatar."
