X Factor Philippines August 5, 2012 Episode Recap |
Before the bottom two were revealed, the contestants performed the pop anthem "Call Me Maybe" with Rockoustic Heartthrob Sam Milby. A special number dedicated for birthday celebrant judge Gary V. then followed, featuring his children Kiana and Paolo and former contestants The Westrack Boys and Mang.
Together with their mentors, the contenders were then called back to stage and the names of those who were safe were called one by one. Host KC Concepcion then announced the following as safe from elimination: A.K.A Jam, Mark Mabasa, Gabriel Maturan, Daddy's Home, Jeric Medina, Modesto Taran, Allen Jane Sta. Maria, KZ Tandingan, Take Off and Kedebon. That left us with Joan Da and Jerrianne Templo, who received the two lowest numbers of votes.
Joan and Jerrianne then performed for the judges' votes. Joan did her version of Adele's "Chasing Pavements while Jerrianne made a heartfelt rendition of Etta James' "At Last."
When it was time for the judges to vote for the contestant they want to send home, three of the four except Charice voted for 21-year-old Jerrianne.
What do you think of the judges' decision?
Dapat deadlock yun decision, nawalan na tyo ng classy act, ang ganda pa naman ni jerriane. Ok lan na puro talent ang napili pero naman sana samahan ng beauty ang show at hindi lan pagalingan

ReplyDeleteDapat 50% ng vote from judges and 50% from texters or magkaroon ng at least 5 judges representing the masa. Unfair kasi ang nagiging results dahil malaki ang advantage ng contestants na may kaya, minsan may mas deserving kesa sa pinili ng texters. Observation lang po kasi ganun ang nangyari sa PGT.
ReplyDeleteLahat ng reality shows, 50% votes from judges and 50% "score on viewers votes". On viewers votes, it's almost impossible mag-deadlock ang score because the number of people voting come from different regions of the country.
ReplyDeleteTypically, regardless of demographics, a female viewer would most likely vote for a male contestant and a male viewer would vote for a female contestant and let's face it, mas involved ang mga girls kesa sa mga guys when it comes to TV shows kaya it's not a surprise that most girls will face early elimination than the guys.
