Suspension of Classes August 7, 2012
Several local government units and schools in Metro Manila and nearby provinces have announced suspension of classes on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 due to bad weather.

Important Update (2:20 a.m.): The Malacanang has released a memo regarding suspension of work and classes on Tuesday. Read it below:

"Upon the recommendation of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and in view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by southwest monsoon (habagat), work in government offices and classes in college level in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal are hereby suspended today, 07 August 2012.

However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital public services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.

This Circular shall take effect immediately."

Cavite - "Classes in ALL LEVELS suspended in the whole province of Cavite on August 7. Please be guided accordingly." - DepEd

Laguna - "Gov ER Ejercito has announced the suspension of classes in all levels tomorrow, Aug 7." - DepEd

Las Pinas - "Classes suspended tom, Aug 7 in the ff areas: Obando Bulacan, Balanga, Bataan, Las Pinas, Navotas, Mandaluyong and Caloocan City."

Malabon - "AUG 7, CLASSES ARE SUSPENDED ELEMENTARY TO HIGH SCHOOL PUBLIC & PRIVATE INCLUDING CMU & CMPI. -Acting MAYOR LENLEN ORETA" - DepEd

Makati - "Makati, Muntinlupa, Taguig suspend all classes on all levels in both public & private schools tomorrow, Aug 7" - DepEd

Mandaluyong - "All classes in the City of Mandaluyong, private and public, pre-school to college are suspended, tomorrow, Aug. 7, 2012" - DepEd

Manila - "Classes in Manila suspended for all levels (both public and private), according to Mayor Alfredo Lim." - DepEd

Marikina - "As per Vice Mayor Fabian Cadiz, All levels na po (private o public) ay suspendido na bukas." - DepEd

Muntinlupa - "Makati, Muntinlupa, Taguig suspend all classes on all levels in both public & private schools tomorrow, Aug 7" - DepEd

Navotas - "CLASSES ARE SUSPENDED in Navotas City tom, Aug 7, in ALL LEVELS (public & private). - Mayor John Rey Tiangco" - DepEd

Parañaque - "Parañaque suspends all classes tom (Aug 7) on all levels, both private and public." - DepEd

Pasig - "No classes in Pasig City and Antipolo City tom, Aug 7, K to HS both public and private." - DepEd

Pateros - "Pateros town Mayor Joey Medina suspends "morning classes"- all levels, both private and public schools" - DepEd

Rizal - "No classes tomorrow, Aug 7, in the ff areas - Binangonan, Rodriguez, Taytay" - DepEd

Taguig - "Makati, Muntinlupa, Taguig suspend all classes on all levels in both public & private schools tomorrow, Aug 7" - DepEd

Valenzuela City - "Valenzuela City: Classes suspended tom, Aug 7, K to HS, both public and private." - DepEd

  1. how come some other threads say that all levels in Antipolo are suspended whereas this one says only K-HS? so what's what?
