The Glee Project Season 2 Contestants
There can never be too much Glee, and as the show goes on its summer hiatus the spinoff competition, The Glee Project will keep Gleek’s happily glued to their television sets. With fourteen new contestants all vying for a chance to win the seven-episode arc on Glee, they must outshine their competition each week as they take on “homework assignments” designed to showcase their talent and personality. Judging them, and choosing a winner is the team behind Glee, show creator Ryan Murphy, casting director Robert Ulrich, choreographer and co-producer Zach Woodlee and vocal coach Nikki Anders.

Aired on Wednesdays  via satellite at 4PM with a primetime telecast at 9PM on ETC, tune into The Glee Project Season 2 and choose who you want to see next season on Glee!

The first season of the show saw two winners in Damian McGinty and Samuel Larsen who each enjoyed their seven-episode arc this past season on Glee. Appearing as Rory Flanagan and Joe Hart on the show, they have won over fans and have stayed way beyond their promised seven episodes. The Glee Project Season 2 promises all-new challenges, music, themes and guest mentors.

The fourteen contestants are divided between seven new girls: Dani who taught herself how to play the guitar and write original songs and has since written and independently released four albums and two singles; Nellie, a vocalist for a local swing band, who auditioned online and lists playing piano, guitar and writing her own original songs as her strengths; Aylin who has been actively singing for the past 10 years and must learn to balance being Muslim with her music; Ali, paralyzed from the chest down, she strives to inspire other people with disabilities to pursue a career in performance arts. Lily Mae who has been involved with musical theatre for the past six years and wishes to convince people that as a full-figured woman, she can be any show's leading lady; Shanna, an experienced tuba and trombone player who recently recovered from vocal fold surgery; and Taryn, a performer for over 12 years, but prior to her audition had never performed live for a casting panel.

And seven new boys: Tyler who is half black, half white, Jewish and transgender; Michael, the youngest contestant at 18 years-old, who has been performing for over eight years and is already a member of a professional blues band; Maxfield is a country singer/songwriter who is new to the stage since finding his voice last summer; Mario, who was born with Morning Glory Syndrome which caused him to go blind at the age of nine; Blake, who loves to act and has studied acting and improvisation since he was a child; Charlie, an actor and singer diagnosed with severe ADHD and low-spectral autism; and Abraham a newbie performer who put his law career on hold to pursue his dreams of taking on the entertainment industry.
