Pacquiao Decision |
"We can’t change the result but we did this review for two reasons," WBO president Francisco Valcarcel told ESPN.com. "If they want to make a rematch, we will approve the rematch and if they don’t we will order one. Also, we wanted to show (the Nevada State Athletic Commission) that they could bring in other officials from outside of Nevada who can also do a fine job judging fights. It’s good to have different officials."
After reviewing the controversial Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley, Jr. fight, a panel of five WBO judges unanimously scored it 117-111, 117-111, 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113 in favor of Pacquiao.
A rematch clause is included in Pacquiao's fight contract with Bradley, should the American pull off the upset. But Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said that he will most likely not push through with the rematch as the first bout was very clearly won by Pacquiao.
Instead, Pacquiao may fight Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time this November.
