LeBron James, the season's most valuable player, scored a total of 45 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, leading his team to the decisive seventh game.
"I just wanted to lead my team the best way I could. I'm glad we was able to get this win and now force a Game 7," James told USA Today. "We're not going to celebrate this win."
Dwyane Wade, meanwhile, finished with 17 points. Wade and James were the only players to score in double digits for the Heat.
Rajon Rondo contributed 21 points and 10 assists for Celtics while Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass each scored 12 points.
The series is now tied at 3-3 and will conclude in Miami on Saturday night (Sunday morning, Manila Time). The Game 7 winners will face-off the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.
