Manny Pacquiao Rogue Magazine Cover
Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao is the fourth most influential athlete in the United States, according to a 2012 survey by Nielsen and E-Poll.

The Filipino pound-for-pound king is listed just behind Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and ahead of another NFL player Tom Brady.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Jimmie Johnson tops the list for second straight year. He is closely followed by New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow.

Also in the list are NFL players Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Eli Manning, NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and NBA player Jeremy Lin.

The survey had 1,100 adult respondents who were asked to measure the likeability and whether they consider an athlete "influential." The list of athletes was limited to professionals who are currently active and who score at least 20 percent "awareness" with the general public.
