February 25 Holiday In The Philippines
February 25, 2012 is a special holiday for all schools, both public and private, in the Philippines.

The Malacañang had announced that there will be no classes on the said date in commemoration of the 26th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

It is going to be a regular working day for employees since it is NOT a special non-working day - February 25 used to be a no-work holiday before.

The 1986 EDSA Revolution led to the proclamation of the late Corazon Aquino, mother of PNoy, as the 11th President of the Republic of the Philippines. The historical event ousted the 14-year martial rule of dictator Ferdinand Marcos and thus, bringing back the country's democracy.
