After receiving several criticisms the Department of Tourism (DOT) pulled out the tourism promotion campaign, “Pilipinas Kay Ganda” (Philippines What a Beauty). This was done just a day after the rebrand was launched online.

Among the posts made on popular social networking sites were “Bland,” “Lacks punch,” and “Sounds dishonest” pertaining to the new DOT campaign.

Aside from the these criticisms, the government also acknowledged that the write-ups were not thoroughly edited and there were allegations of plagiarism.

Noypi searched for a proof of the said plagiarism and here's what he found from a blog:

The “Pilipinas Kay Ganda” logo is said to be a plagiarized version of the Polish National Tourist Office.
