This day could not get any sadder for the Philippine music world as another OPM (Original Pilipino Music) icon passed away today.

After Pinoy funk and rock icon Karl Roy, singer-composer Bodjie Dasig died today in California, U.S.A.

Dasig's death was confirmed by singer Jim Paredes on Twitter.

"Confirmed: Bodgie Dasig, songwriter of 'Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko', husband of Odette Quesada passed away today too. OPM just lost 2 greats," Paredes tweeted.

Dasig is survived by his wife, Odette Quesada, also a renowned composer.

He popularized the love songs "Ale (Nasa Langit Na Ba Ako)" and "Sana Dalawa and Puso Ko." He also wrote songs for several local singers including Rico J. Puno, Rachel Alejandro, Ariel Rivera, Lani Misalucha, and Odette Quesada.

He was also the lead vocalist of Bodjie's Law Of Gravity, known for the song "Bakit Ba Naman Ngayon Pa Umulan."
