Constatino met Asuncion through a common friend in 2012 and became good friends themselves after hanging out a number of times. They officially became a couple in June, 2013. He is her first boyfriend.

A former band member, Asuncion is a worship director at Victory Christian Fellowship, a religious congregation that the 24-year-old "Pinoy Dream Academy" champion is also a member of.
