SC said the passing rate was lowered to 73% from 75% after considering several factors, allowing 480 more to be included in the list of passers. Only 694 (13.13%) would have passed had the rate not been adjusted.
Nielson Pangan of University of the Philippines topped the exam with his 85.8. He was followed by fellow UP grad Mark Xavier Oyales and Diana Wilwayco of Ateneo de Manila University, who both scored 85.45. Coming in third spot was Rudy Ortega of University of Batangas, with his 84.2 exam rating.

SC added that oathtaking of the 2013 Bar Exam passers will be on April 28, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
