Flappy Bird, a chart-topping free mobile game that is creating quite a buzz in the Internet, has caused the death of a Chicago teen, according to a report on Huzlers.com.

Flappy Bird highscore
Gary Wright, 16, reportedly outscored his 17-year-old brother, Jabari, in the game, causing the latter to lost his temper.

"Things quickly got out of hand when Jabari kept teasing Gary about his high score, which was 6. Gary allegedly stabbed Jabari with a knife 17 times in the chest, referencing his high score of 17. Gary himself called the police after he killed his brother and turned himself in. The Brothers’ parents have refused to speak to reporters," the report said.

However, the report is just a hoax. It becomes more obvious in the latter part that it is just fabricated.

The fairly new website runs satirical stories and is responsible for a couple of recent viral online hoaxes, including the death of WorldStarHipHop sensation Sharkeisha.

Have you come across the story on your Facebook or Twitter feeds? Did the one who shared it think the story was real? And are you a Flappy Bird player? What can you say about the game?
