NBI Clearance Online Application Available Starting January 24

Online application for NBI Clearance will be available beginning Friday, January 24, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced today.

DOJ said applicants will soon be able to fill out the clearance form at www.doj.gov.ph/nbi or www.nbi.gov.ph.

After registering online, applicants can proceed directly to the nearest NBI office for payment and biometric enrollment for the release of the clearance.

"With the implementation of the new NBI System, we shall continue to roll-out and implement solutions to progessively eliminate queues and simplify processes," DOJ Secretary Leila de Lim said. "Online application is the logical step after the switch."

The NBI Clearance System is a component of the flagship National Justice Information System (NJIS) to link and share information among justice sector institutions.

The new system also includes an Automated Cashiering Module for the consistent accounting reports that eliminate malversation and corruption and a Renewal Module to ease the hassles of securing a clearance for those with existing ones.
