Youtube Music Awards 2013 Winners Bared

The first-ever Youtube Music Awards were held at New York City's Pier 36 on Sunday, November 3,  and were broadcast live on the popular video sharing site. The show featured live performances by Arcade Fire, M.I.A., Aviici, Eminem, Lady Gaga and Tyler The Creator.

VIDEO OF THE YEAR (recognizes this year's biggest videos, based on what you watched, shared, liked and commented on): GIRLS GENERATION, "GOT A BOY")

YOUTUBE PHENOMENON (recognizes the YouTube videos that inspired the biggest number of fan responses): WALK OFF THE EARTH, "I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE)

INNOVATION OF THE YEAR (recognizes some of the most unique concepts and creators in music videos on YouTube this year): DESTORM, "SEE ME STANDING"

RESPONSE OF THE YEAR (recognizes the best fan remixes, covers or parodies, based on your views, likes, shares, and comments): LINDSEY STIRLING AND PENTATONIX, "RADIOACTIVE"

YOUTUBE BREAKTHROUGH (recognizes the biggest breakout acts on YouTube, based on artists with the highest growth in views and subscribers over the past year): MACKELMORE AND RYAN LEWIS
