The Miss Universe 2013 winner has been crowned!

Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler
Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler took home the coveted crown this year after besting 85 other candidates from around the world. With Isler's win, Venezuela now has seven Miss Universe title holders, a win shy from USA's record. The South American nation also won the pageant in 1979, 1981, 1986, 1996, 2008, and 2009.

Isler, 25, is a BA in Management and Marketing graduate and currently works as a talent on the Venevision TV Network.

Placing second in the pageant this year is Miss Spain Patricia Rodriguez, while Constanza Baez of Ecuador is third.

Miss Philippines Ariella Arida and Miss Brazil Jakelyne Oliveira are fourth and fifth, respectively.

Rounding up the Top 10 are Miss Dominican Republic Yaritza Reyes, Miss Great Britain Amy Willerton, Miss India Manasi Moghe, Miss Ukraine Olga Storozhenko and Miss USA Erin Brady.

The Miss Universe 2013 coronation night was held at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia on Saturday night, November 9.

  1. Ariela did not get the nod of the Miss Universe preliminary judges and qualified as semifinalist via fan votes. Then she led the Bikini Contest as the number 1 in the top 16. This shows judging in the Miss Universe is clearly flawed. The judges were never objective; Ariela needed the fan votes to showcase her best in swimsuit body. This contest is a farce, I think????

  2. Ara winning the fan votes doesn't mean that she did not make to the original Top 15. Another contestant might have been added to fill up Ara's place in the Top 15 since she already won the fan vote.
