Actress Beauty Gonzalez was reportedly arrested in Batangas City on Monday after trying to help in the escape of her brother, Michael Ryan, who is a suspect in a "human trafficking" case.
Authorities said that when the 22-year-old former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate visited her brother in his detention cell in Calapan City, she persuaded policemen to let Michael Ryan leave his cell in order to buy something. But the two took off using a car driven by an unnamed man.
Beauty, her brother and the man who drove their vehicle were intercepted and arrested in Batangas City port.
Michael Ryan was arrested last week after allegedly leading commercial buses with 42 people, including 4 minors, from Caticlan, Iloilo, who are to work in a sugar cane plantation in Cagayan Valley without necessary legal permits.
Beauty and her male companion are now facing an "obstruction of justice" case for taking part in the escape of Michael Ryan.
