Susan Fuentes has lost her battle to colon cancer at the age of 58.

The veteran singer died at 12:30 p.m. at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute in Quezon City on Saturday,

Fuentes was the voice behind the Visayan hit songs "Matud Nila", "Gimingaw Ako", "Usahay" and "Rosas Pandan," which earned her the title as the "Queen of Visayan Songs." She also had Tagalog singles, of which the most popular was "Miss Kita Kung Christmas," which was revived by Sharon Cuneta.

Fuentes is survived by her two children, aged 32 and 33, who the singer revealed had been estranged from her for more than a decade.
