Typhoon Labuyo Track Forecast (PAGASA)
Typhoon Labuyo has made landfall over Casiguran, Aurora early Monday morning, August 12, 2013, PAGASA said.

According to the state weather bureau, the center of Typhoon Labuyo was located based on all available data at 45 km West of Casiguran, Aurora at 4:00 am.

The tropical cyclone is now packing Maximum winds of 165 kph near the center and gustiness of 200 kph, moving to the West Northwest direction at 22 kph. By tomorrow morning, itt is expected to at 300 km Northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur, which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

PAGASA has issued Public Storm Warning Signals over the following areas:

Signal #3 (Winds of 101-185kph is expected in at least 18 hrs): Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union,Pangasinan, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Northern Aurora;

Signal # 2 (Winds of 61-100kph is expected in at least 24 hrs): Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales, Tarlac, Rest of Aurora and Nueva Ecija; and

Signal # 1 (Winds of 45-60 kph is expected within the next 36 hours): Batanes, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Northern Quezon including Polillo Island, Laguna, Cavite, and Metro Manila.

PAGASA said Typhoon Labuyo will yield an estimated rainfall amount of 10–25 mm per hour (heavy-intense) within its 600 km diameter.

"Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signal #3, #2 & #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides," it said. "Likewise, those living in coastal areas under signal #3 and #2 are alerted against storm surges."

It added that Typhoon Labuyo will enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Southern Luzon and Western Visayas.

"Fishermen especially those using small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the western and southern seaboards of Southern Luzon and the eastern and western seaboards of Visayas due to big waves generated by Typhoon 'Labuyo,'" PAGASA further stated.
