According to his records at the Bolivian civil registry, Carmelo Flores Laura was born in the year 1890 and he turned 123 last month.

Found near Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, the supposed 123-year-old goat herder is amazingly walking without mobility aids and eyeglasses, though with difficulty of hearing.

Illiterate and does not speak any other language but Aymara Language, Carmelo seems to be fit as evidenced by his ability to manage and mobilize on his own.

Carmelo has three children but two of them died and only Cecilio is left who is currently 67 years old. He also has forty grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren but most of them have left Frasquia.

When asked how Carmelo succeeded to be living more than a century and stay healthy, he said he does have a walk routine, eats barley and avoids alcohol.

According to Guinness, the oldest living person verified by original proof of birth is 115-year-old Japanese woman Misao Okawa, while the oldest verified age on record was 122 years and 164 days --Jeanne Calment of France who died in 1997.
