Lee Grane of "The Voice of the Philippines" |
Of all the audition clips posted on the show's official Facebook page, it is Lee Grane's which has attracted the most likes and shares as of this posting. It also amassed more than 200,000 views on Youtube so far.
Lee Grane showcased her own take of the Freddie Aguilar hit, "Anak," during the Blind Auditions. She chose to sing Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" when the coaches requested for an English song. The second performance moved to tears coach Bamboo, whom she selected to be her mentor.
The professional singer was born and raised in Batangas but she left home at 19, to pursue her music. Lee is her family’s stand-in father, breadwinner and had been taking care of a mother and other siblings after her father passed away.
Apart from sending her sisters to school, Lee also pays for her sister’s medication in her battle with epilepsy. In an interview, Lee was tearful when she opened up about putting her family’s necessities first before she could buy or do something she likes.
Currently, Lee plays at multiple gigs around the Metro. She plays the guitar, bass and piano, and she can dance too.
